Double Happy Vs The Infinite Sadness is a Multi Platform Entertainment Series from champions of the indie scene, Monkey Stack. Join Pink and Blue, The Double Happy Rabbits, as they vanquish The Infinite Sadness from the Isles of the Ancients. Including mini games, webisodes, a point and click adventure and a multitude of other forms, Double Happy is a universe of possibilities.

Synopsis

Mash up the point click adventure games of the 90’s with the retro gaming action of the 80’s; throw in some neo-pop, edgy cute rabbits together with a huge range of contemporary environment art and game design and you have Double Happy Vs. The Infinite Sadness.

Strong comic elements and epic themes create a humorous, quirky and energetic story driven experience. Players control the Double Happy Rabbits, solving puzzles and testing their reflexes as they travel through the Isles of the Ancients in an effort to vanquish The Infinite Sadness. Puzzles and action...Philosophy, physics and flatulence...what more could you want. 

Our Impression

Touted as a game for artists by artists, you will find the artwork sometimes purposefully clashing but, at all times, beautiful and fascinating. Double Happy are endearing and draw you in with their indomitable optimism. You will protect them during their adventure and develop an emotional connection to their character.

I had a chat to Shane Bevin, co-founder of Monkey Stack, about the idea behind Double Happy and I can tell you, the story is far from cute and simple. There will be some mindboggling twists, but you may just have to wait until you play it to find out. You can expect puzzles, mini games, completely abstract gameplay, adding up to a game with its own self-contained universe.
